Low carbon vehicle engineers visiting Cenex-LCV, will be able to access and easily implement new switch technologies from PPM Power.
The show attracts engineers, industry professionals and technical directors alike, to examine the latest advancements in sustainable propulsion, vehicle design and EV systems. This year’s event promises to be even more noteworthy, attracting thousands of professionals.
With products for hypercars to commercial vehicles through to aviation, the company will display cutting-edge solutions that help users achieve their project performance and cost targets, through optimisation, customisation and availability.
The company will feature its Test Kit for rapid and high performance prototype evaluation of inverters, including state-of-the-art SiC MOSFET technology integrated with highly optimised DC link capacitors. The kit was designed to allow engineers to exploit the latest SiC technology without causing delays or budget increases. It was rapidly designed employing best-in-class DC link capacitors, SiC power modules and engineered cold plates, and was developed to function straight away and precisely as needed.
With electrical infrastructure becoming ever more important, the company will also be offering new switch technology in the form of Schaltbau contactors. These solid-state contactors deliver ultra-fast reaction times when limiting fault currents, thereby providing DC and AC fault protection. The speed of response decreases the magnitude of fault current, making down-stream design easier. The devices are also capable of switching, under load, millions of times and deliver long lifetimes.
"We are excited to be a part of LCV 2023; an event that embodies the electrification of transport and the pursuit of net-zero emissions. At PPM Power, we are committed to accelerating time to market for low carbon vehicles by offering fast, precise and efficient solutions," said Phil Surman, director of sales at PPM Power.
