Robust and cost-effective LED with high luminous efficacy

18-09-2024 | Rutronik | Automotive & Transport

Rutronik offers the Power TOPLED.01, the latest powerful and versatile addition to the TOPLED family from the ams OSRAM portfolio. The LEDs are established on the market and installed in white PLCC-4 housings – manufactured to ams OSRAM industry standards – and upgraded with the latest chip technology InGaAIP from ams OSRAM. Due to their robustness and high luminous efficacy, they are especially suited for applications in the automotive sector, such as indicator lights or functional lighting, and are accordingly AEC-Q102-qualified. They are offered in yellow, red, amber and super red.

The LEDs are particularly powerful thanks to the new thin-film chip technology from ams OSRAM. The wide beam angle of 120° (Lambertian emitter) ensures high luminous efficacy. They are also robust and satisfy the corrosion resistance requirements of class 3B. Their ESD is a low 2kV, in accordance with ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 (HBM, class 2). The combination of these factors makes the component particularly suited to lighting applications in the automotive sector. The LEDs are made of cast resin (Lx E67F.01) is currently available; a silicone-moulded version will follow shortly.
