Mouser now stocks the DLP5532PROJHBQ1EVM evaluation module (EVM) from Texas Instruments. The EVM speeds up development and reduces time to market for projectors employed in automotive applications. It supports high-brightness transparent window displays for advertisements, V2V, and V2P communications.

The module is a complete solution for automotive projection, featuring optics, LED light sources, and adjustable throw distance. The EVM also supports proof of concept demos, enabling developers to validate and refine designs early in development. The EVM provides an 1152 × 576 resolution on a 55" DMD, suitable for HUDs and other in-car projections. With up to 700 lumens of light output, the EVM produces visible images even in well-lit conditions. Also, it features Luminous PTM-50-X RGB LEDs covering 125% of the NTSC colour gamut, which is ideal for dynamic advertising displays. The EVM receives video input through an HDMI interface or alternative video feeds.

The EVM includes an electronic subsystem designed to control the DLP5532-Q1 chipset. The DLP5532-Q1 chipset consists of the DLP5532-Q1 automotive DMD micromirror array, the DLPC230-Q1 DLP automotive DMD controller, and the TPS99000-Q1 system management and illumination controller.
