SMARC SOM for powerful and efficient embedded computing

14-01-2025 | Mouser Electronics | Automotive & Transport

Mouser now stocks the Tungsten510 SMARC SOM from Ezurio. The Tungsten510 SMARC includes a Genio 510 processor and Sona MT320 Wi-Fi 6/Bluetooth 5.4 radio, paired with high-performance LPDDR4 RAM and eMMC storage. This combination of features makes the SMARC an efficient solution for smart cameras, industrial IoT, autonomous robots and vehicles, vision systems, and other embedded applications.

The SMARC SOM balances power efficiency with peak computing performance by combining a 2GHz dual-core Arm Cortex-A78 and quad-core 2GHz Arm Cortex-A55. Combined with an Ezurio universal SMARC carrier board, the Tungsten510 functions as an SBC, accelerating time to market. The SOM also features a dedicated AI accelerator that delivers up to 2.8 TOPS for high-performance edge machine learning tasks. The SMARC supports smartphone-level UIs and 3D performance with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and dual displays for 4K60 and FHD60 resolutions. Additional features include a 4K video encoder and decoder, two MIPI-CSI camera interfaces, image signal processing up to 32MP, and a HiFi 5 audio DSP.

The Tungsten510 SMARC provides exceptional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Classic/LE connectivity, including in challenging environments. The SMARC also supports WPA3-Enterprise to supply further security for networks transmitting sensitive data. The SMARC SOMs have global radio approvals and several modular approvals, including FCC, IC, CE, and Bluetooth SIG.
