Evaluation kit jumpstarts robotic applications

Mouser Electronics, Inc. now stocks the STEVAL-ROBKIT1 robotics evaluation kit from STMicroelectronics.

The kit is a comprehensive solution created as a platform for developing robotic technology and applications. The kit provides a modular design containing three boards: the main board, the motor control board, and the imaging board. The main board is powered by an STM32H725 MCU, which incorporates various functionalities and controls the motor and imaging boards. The motor board is based on an STM32G071 MCU, specifically designed for motor control and actuation, utilising motor drivers to regulate the speed and direction of the robot's movements. The imaging board is supplied with a VL53L8CX ToF sensor and a CAM-56G3 camera module, which enables it to perceive and interact intelligently with its surroundings.

The LSM6DSV16BX iNEMO IMU and LIS2MDL magnetometer enhance the STEVAL-ROBKIT1 kit's capabilities by providing precise orientation and motion sensing, which are crucial for navigation and stability in dynamic environments. The BlueNRG-M2 BLE module enables seamless wireless communication, allowing for control of mobile interfaces. Dedicated firmware enables the robot to move autonomously and allows users to run various AI algorithms.
