Foremost Electronics now offer designers of defence systems a wide range of components from APEM, manufactured with MIL-QPL standards.
Its MIL Standard manufactured products include:
Night Vision (NVG) – compatible 8mm diameter LED indicators designed for defence applications to stop covert units from being blinded. These robust indicators are compatible with night vision goggles and are compliant to MIL-STD-3009. NVG-compatible LED indicators are offered in black or anodised, front panel and rear epoxy sealed to IP67 and available in six colours.
The TS Series Thumbstick proportional two-axis joystick in a miniature package can be utilised for applications including pendant and remote controls and a joystick handle and armrest integration. The TS Series Thumbstick has multiple linear output options, including single and dual (redundant) outputs, featuring non-contacting Hall Effect technology for long-life performance. It is similar in size and operation to gamepad controls but in a rugged industrial package. It has threaded plastic D-flat housing, LED options, USB outputs and IP67 above panel sealing.
The 12000 series high specification robust toggle switches are specially manufactured for defence, telecommunications, and other professional applications – 1, 2, 3 and 4-pole configurations with several locking lever options. Toggle action on two-position models provides a smooth mechanical operation. Bright chrome, satin chrome, or matt black finishes are CECC-approved.
The 13000 series high-reliability single-pole and double-pole momentary pushbuttons have silver- or gold-plated contacts. They are available with panel or PCB mounting, UL and CECC approved and designed to European MIL specifications.
Dave Martin, new business director of Foremost Electronics, says, “We work closely in partnership with leading global enclosure and switch product and solution manufacturers to meet the exacting needs of our defence customers. We support demanding applications by leveraging proven COTS technologies in environments where shock, vibration, EMC, temperature range and IP ratings are the key to success.”
