Saelig Company offers the new PicoScope 4425A EV Oscilloscope Kit, developed to deliver a comprehensive diagnostics capability for BEV, MHEV, PHEV, Fuel-cell and diesel, gasoline, LPG powertrains. The kit supplies service shops with a futureproof system for analysing vehicles with high-voltage batteries and electric motor systems. Together with the comprehensive spectrum of Pico accessories, the PC-connected 4425A kit is an easy-to-use system that comprises extensive technician guidance to examine engines, motors, actuators, sensors, communications buses, and noise, vibration, and harshness on the latest vehicle designs.

The kit manufacturer has created an analysis kit that enables technicians to be as efficient, safe, and effective working with electric powertrains as they are with traditional internal combustion engines. The kit comprises all of the test equipment needed to work safely on electric vehicles and to analyse faults likely to cause safety issues.

In addition to the new EV capability, the kit provides ConnectDetect smart sensor detection, ±200V voltage input range, floating input system, high sample rate (up to 400MSa/s), high vertical resolution (12-bit to 16-bit enhanced), a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, and 20MHz signal bandwidth. To help with diagnostics it has advanced triggering and filtering, a large buffer memory (250MSa), math channels, measurement and phase rulers, a Pico reference waveform library, with more than 150 guided tests, and free Pico software upgrades. The PicoScope 7 software, provided free, supplies ease of use even for less experienced technicians and gives more advanced features when required. The PC-connected kit allows for the usage of large-screen displays in workshops, making measurements visible at all times, even to customers, if required. PicoScope test results can be printed, and data can even be shared over a network.

The kit provides comprehensive coverage on all types of vehicles including automobiles, buses, trucks, motorcycles, agricultural and construction equipment, off-highway, and industrial systems for locating most vehicle faults quickly.
