Mouser now stocks the DA14592 BLE 5.2 SoC with embedded flash from Renesas Electronics. This robust BLE-enabled SoC is intended for asset and activity tracking, human interface devices, data logging, high-end voice RCU, and crowd-sourced locations for Google and Apple.

The BLE 5.2 SoC features multi-core processing with Arm Cortex-M33 and Arm Cortex-M0+ at 64 MHz for application and configurable MAC in a low-power (<3.5mA), small footprint solution. The multi-core SoC combines 15-bit, 8-channel, sigma-delta ADC, multiple GPIOs, and optimized integration between on-chip memory (RAM/ROM/Flash) and SoC die size, for cost-effective performance across various applications.

The device maintains Renesas' leadership in low radio power consumption by using its new low-power mode, allowing a radio transmit current of only 2.3mA at 0dBm and a radio receive current of 1.2mA. Also, it supports an ultra-low hibernation current of 90nA, which extends the shelf-life of end-products shipped with a connected battery. For products that require extensive application processing, it also offers an ultra-low active current of 34µA/MHz.

The device typically needs only six external components, supplying best-in-class eBOM and delivering the lowest solution cost and size. Its high accuracy on-chip RCX removes the necessity for an external, sleep mode crystal, with most applications only requiring a 32MHz crystal. Also, it comes with a comprehensive suite of support tools and programming examples.

The device is supported by DA14592 development tools, which are also available to order from Mouser. The development tools include two daughter board types (DA14592-01O9DB-P, DA14592-016FDB-P), a development kit (DA14592-016FDEVKT-U), and a development kit pro (DA14592-016FDEVKT-P). Providing a comprehensive and user-friendly development environment with real-time power profiling, these tools allow rapid development and prototyping of applications based on the DA14592 SoC.
