New surface mount clock oscillators available on quick turnaround

Euroquartz has released two new series of surface mount clock oscillators that can be delivered on quick turnaround. The new QuikXO series products are excellent for R&D and small to medium-batch production applications, with samples available in only 24 hours and larger quantities in three to seven days.

Two package sizes are available: miniature 3mm2 x 2.5mm x 1.1mm (model EHTF32) and ultra-miniature 2mm x 1.6mm x 0.8mm (model EHTF21) with frequencies ranging from 1MHz to 200MHz. The devices are factory configurable for quick turnaround, providing frequency stability from ±25ppm to ±100ppm over the industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C. Supply voltage options are 1.8V, 2.5V, or 3.3V with tristate (enable/disable) function as standard and RMS jitter of 0.9ps typically.

Supplying LVCMOS compatible output load capability of 15pF, the new QuikXO fast turnaround clock oscillators are an excellent option for embedded applications and development engineers or those needing custom frequencies at short notice. Further specifications include rise/fall time from 3ns to 5ns and supply current from 30 to 45mA depending on input voltage range, a duty cycle of 50% ±5% for frequencies up to 150MHz, ±10% above, and a start-up time of 4.5ms typical, 10ms maximum. Ageing is ±3ppm maximum in the first year at 25C, ±2ppm per year after that.

The SMD clock oscillators are fully RoHS-compliant and are suitable for reflow soldering at 260C for ten seconds.
