Concurrent Technologies has launched Iris, a dual enclave switch card. The company will market it as a plug-in-card (PIC) to other system integrators and use it as the basis for its own system-level products.
Iris is the system keystone to deliver secure, high bandwidth switch connections between each PIC, crucial in ensuring they work together most effectively.
The card is designed and manufactured by an undisclosed partner company specialising in electromagnetic spectrum solutions predominantly targeted to the US Department of Defence. The company has signed a multi-year reseller agreement with extension options that will enable it to sell and support Iris globally via its existing sales channels. Initial orders for development quantities will be fulfilled this year, with deployment volumes starting in 2024.
Miles Adcock, CEO of Concurrent Technologies, commented on the launch of Iris: “Iris fills the last high-value gap in our systems portfolio and leveraging this functionality from a trusted partner enables us to deliver leading-edge products to market at an increasingly swift cadence. Over the last year, I have personally met our partner a number of times as we have built our mutual respect based on aligned values and the desire to support each other’s business.”
Typical applications include force protection, situational awareness, command and control, and mission computing.
