New wall-mount swing-gate racks offer no-hassle access

ShowMeCables has released a line of open-frame wall-mount swing-gate racks. This innovative design provides a hinged front gate that swings open 180° for easy rear cable and equipment access. The ten new models are the standard 19" in width, come in two depths, and have five capacities up to 18U.

Unlike conventional wall-mount or floor racks, the company's space-saving swing-gate series keeps equipment close to the wall without requiring room to roll the rack forward or rotate it to reach rear cables and ports. Its space efficiency makes it excellent for network closets, hallways, retail locations, classrooms, offices, etc.

These newly released wall-mount swing-gate racks are built to rugged professional specs and carry numerous certifications. They are made of cold-rolled steel with a protective black powder coating and can hold up to 110lbs of equipment.

Five of the swing-gate racks have 24" of depth for larger components. They come in capacity options of 6U, 9U, 12U, 15U, or 18U. All can steadily hold 110lbs of gear.

The other five new swing-gate racks can hold equipment up to 18" deep and are suitable for smaller wall spaces. They also come in vertical capacities of 6U, 9U, 12U, 15U, or 18U, and weigh 110lbs or 55lbs.

All of the new swing-gate racks can accommodate both square-hole mounting with M6 cage screws and nuts, and threaded mounting using 12-24 screws.

"With wall-mounted swing gates, the rack stays compact and out of your way until you need to access it," said product line manager Tim Houghton. "Then you can swing it open and quickly reach all your cables and ports."
