Next-gen oscilloscope software for Windows or Linux and Mac operating systems

Saelig Company, Inc has released the next-generation Pico Technology oscilloscope software – PicoScope 7. Based on PicoScope 6 software, it has been rewritten to take advantage of the latest PC and display technologies. The software is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems and now includes enhanced features and functionality, creating a precise, reliable, and easy-to-use toolset for portable and benchtop test and measurement needs. All current PC-based PicoScope oscilloscopes, from the entry-level 2000 Series to the high-performance 6000E Series are supported, as are legacy PicoScope models dating back a decade or more. The software is free for all PicoScope users.

The new software features a variety of intuitive tools that streamline workflows and boost productivity, including comprehensive views to visualise deep memory captures in both time and frequency domains; touchscreen support for a more interactive and immersive experience. It offers advanced triggers to easily capture anomalies and glitches and automated measurements for common waveform parameters. Over 30 serial protocol decoders (free of charge) are included in the latest I3C and CAN XL standards. It provides event-driven actions for mask fails, triggers, and more, and the new DeepMeasure function enables analysis of waveform parameters on up to a million cycles with each triggered acquisition. Advanced math channels, including filters, trigonometry, exponentials, logarithms, statistics, integrals, and derivatives, are included. Waveform math for real-time comparisons with historical peak, averaged, or filtered waveforms.

The software is a comprehensive upgrade that raises measurement capabilities for engineers and technicians, even those already owning high-performance Pico oscilloscopes. The software provides precision, reliability, and a more intuitive and streamlined user experience. It will continue to evolve with technological advancements, and software upgrades are always free.
