ETS-Lindgren is gearing up to optimise its products using Anritsu’s Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A to capitalise on the revolutionary advancements of Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE802.11be).
As one of the first-to-market Wi-Fi 7 Solutions available, users now have a proven test system for performance verification testing of wireless devices in accordance with IEEE Standard 802.11be. IEEE 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7 is a considerable leap forward in wireless technology, introducing features such as 320 MHz channels, MLO, 4K QAM, 512 Compressed Block Ack, and Multiple RUs to a single STA. These innovations translate into tangible benefits, including a two-times increase in throughput, deterministic latency, enhanced efficiency, greater reliability, a 20% boost in transmission rates, reduced transmission overhead, and improved spectral efficiency.
Anritsu provides the Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A to evaluate RF TRX characteristics of Wi-Fi 7 devices. This test set uses data-link layer communication protocols to control the signal per data rate, enabling RF evaluations at all major WLAN standards, including Wi-Fi 7, at all data rates. This capability is crucial because WLAN signal quality characteristics vary with each data rate.
ETS-Lindgren provides a diverse range of test chambers within its AMS family: standout models such as AMS-8050 and AMS-8900 are strategically positioned to facilitate thorough testing of Wi-Fi 7 capabilities in wireless devices. Working with Anritsu to use the groundbreaking capabilities of Wi-Fi 7, the company proactively aligned itself to deliver forward-looking test services and products. The utilisation of Anritsu Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A for Wi-Fi 7 OTA testing, particularly for TRP and TIS, is a key highlight. The company is committed to aiding manufacturers in certifying and optimising the performance of devices and networks by the new Wi-Fi 7 standards.
