Mouser now stocks the ConnectCore 93 SOM from Digi. Based on the industrial NXP Semiconductors i.MX 93 applications processor, the ConnectCore 93 SOM, is designed for a wide range of IoT devices for medical, industrial, energy, and transportation. The new SOM is an excellent option for automation, HMIs, equipment monitoring, edge computing, and machine learning applications.

The SOM offers up to two Arm Cortex-A55 cores, while a Cortex-M33 core, AI/ML Arm Ethos U65 NPU and NXP PMIC ensure maximum power efficiency. The SOM provides pre-certified dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a seamless cellular modem, and Digi XBee integration. Housed in a surface-mount, 40mm x 45mm form factor, the SOM is developed to deliver industrial reliability for embedded devices. The new SOM also provides exceptional security and privacy with Digi TrustFence, a fully integrated device security framework that simplifies securing connected devices. It supports an industrial operating temperature range of -40C to +85C and product lifecycles of 10+ years for embedded devices. This SOM is created for industrial reliability and 10+ year product lifecycles of embedded devices. The Digi SMTplus surface-mount form factor supplies simplified design integration, efficiency and reliability.

The ConnectCore 93 development kit supports the SOM. This comprehensive demonstration platform comprises a development board and an i.MX 93 dual-core, NPU, 8 GBytes eMMC, and 1 GByte LPDDR4 wireless SOM. The development kit also contains reference designs and online documentation, allowing designers to prototype and scale industrial IoT applications quickly.
