MEMPHIS Electronic, distributor of memory ICs, DRAM modules and flash solutions, is showing at the Engineering Design Show.
The company will supply insights into the highly volatile memory market. Based on its over 30 years of experience in the global distribution of memory products, it can advise on current pricing and delivery trends regarding DRAM and Flash components as well as modules.
“We have reached the inflection point in the memory industry,” explained Marco Mezger, president and COO of MEMPHIS Electronic. “Industry experts all agree that the measures manufacturers have taken to reduce their stock levels are taking effect and we will see an increase in prices as inventory levels go down. Based on the insights from our unmatched line card, we help customers assess the delivery situation of the memory products they require and set up a purchasing plan that helps them secure availability while taking advantage of current low prices.”
Another focus area at the show is the MEMPHIS DRAM Module Configuration Service. Customers can specify the criteria for their applications like DRAM technology, form factor, capacity, speed, data width, temperature range etc. and the company will configure and manufacture the specific DRAM modules over the needed product lifetime. The most recent example is its DDR5 memory module based on Samsung DDR5 components in industrial temperature ranges.
With 14 locations worldwide, the company supports product development from the local design-in to off-shore manufacturing locations and, as part of long-term contracts, can store products in one of its warehouses that is closest to the manufacturing site.
