Texas Instruments LM63635D-Q1 Step-Down Voltage Converters are simple-to-use, synchronous, step-down DC-DC converters created for rugged automotive applications.

The devices can drive up to 3.25A of load current from an input of up to 32V. The converter provides high light-load efficiency and output accuracy in a small size, typically 20mm x 13mm for 3.25A, 2200kHz. Features including a RESET flag and precision enable give both flexible and easy-to-use solutions for an extensive variety of applications. Automatic frequency foldback at light load increases efficiency while sustaining tight load regulation. Integration removes numerous external components and gives a pinout created for a simple PCB layout.

Protection features comprise thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and hiccup short-circuit protection. The converters are provided in HTSSOP 16-pin power package, with PowerPAD. The devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

Typical applications comprise automotive infotainment and cluster, automotive body electronics and lighting, and automotive ADAS.
