Freescale's CM0902 Dual CAN high-speed transceivers are now available from
Mouser stock. The devices feature a robust, cost-effective CAN high-speed
physical layer that offers a low quiescent current and exceeds stringent
EMC/ESD requirements without added circuitry.
The series offers pinout and function compatibility with CAN ISO11898-2 and
-5 standard products, Vdd and IO voltage monitoring, ability to respond in
'fail-safe' manner, 500kbit/sec EMC compliance without common mode choke,
and ±6kV ESD contact discharge according to IEC61000-4-2, 150pF-330ohm.
The CM0902 Dual CAN High Speed Transceivers meet 36dBm DPI without external
protection and 39dBm DPI with additional capacitors. With an ultra-low
quiescent current (<10uA /ch), CM0902 Transceivers allow the CAN HS protocol
in power-sensitive applications. I/O (SPI) compatible with auto-detect for
both 5V and 3.3V MCU digital levels, designers can use CM0902 Transceivers
in 3.3V and 5V systems without added circuitry. Available in automotive OEM
certified (MC33CM0902 - TxDominant Timeout) and industrial (MC34CM0902 -No
Timeout -low baud rate applications) versions, Freescale CM0902 Dual CAN
High Speed Transceivers can be used in powertrain, safety-critical motor
control, robotics, and factory automation applications.
