Mouser is now stocking the Molex Super Sabre connector system. Designed for
a wide range of high-current, high-voltage applications that require design
flexibility for wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations, the Super
Sabre family offers the hybrid power and signal mating combinations that
provide developers significant space and cost savings - all in a
low-profile, small-pitch solution.
The system has a current rating per blade of 30A at 600V and offers a novel
combinations of power and signal enables designers to use a single connector
housing to mate high-current and low current power under 5A, while reducing
size and total interconnect cost. All components in the family are fitted
with a silver-plated interface that eliminates fretting corrosion while
isolating terminals on both mating sides to protect against damage or shock.
The flat blade terminal design offers four points of electrical contact, and
each component within the family features fully isolated terminals on both
mating sides, positive latch and TPA features.
The connector system is available in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board
single-row, 2 through 6 circuit sizes, and is offered in a variety of
positions, contact types and mounting angles. All components are lead-free,
RoHS-compliant and provide an optional UL1950 Finger Test certified blade
that meets Finger Test requirements for many consumer applications.
The Super Sabre connector system is ideal for networking and
telecommunications, appliances, white goods, automotive, medical, and 100 to
600W power supplies, says the company.
