Test & Measurement
Aimed at applications such as heart-rate monitoring, pulse oximetry and
proximity sensing, Osram's SFH 7050 BioMon sensor is now available from
Mouser stock.
The device is the company's first integrated optical sensor for automatic
fitness tracking. It includes three LEDs of different wavelengths, which
are based on high-efficiency chip technology. The measurement starts or
stops automatically when the sensor touches skin or is removed from the
skin. This BioMon sensor includes a light barrier to block optical
crosstalk. The multi-chip package includes the three emitters and a
detector.
