Optimized for battery-powered Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications, Mouser now offers Atmel's WINC1500 Wi-Fi System on Chip (SoC) modules from stock. The WINC1500 provides UART, I²C and SPI peripheral interfaces and only requires a high-speed crystal oscillator. The internal flash memory houses a secure IoT network stack which can be controlled by a resource constrained MCU. Single stream 1x1 802.11n mode is offered in the WINC1500 and provides up to 72Mbps PHY throughput.
