Schottky module diodes offer easy paralleling of devices without thermal runaway

02-04-2015 | Digikey | Power

Global Power Technologies' silicon carbide (SIC) power Schottky module diodes are now available from Digi-Key. Their key advantages are improved circuit efficiency (lower overall cost), low switching losses, ease of paralleling devices without thermal runaway, smaller heat sink requirements, low reverse recovery current, low device capacitance, and low reverse leakage current at operating temperature. The company offers a choice of 600V, 20A and 50A that are parallel and anti-parallel in a SOT-227 module package. They are also available in 1200V, 30A and 60A that are parallel and anti-parallel in a SOT-227 module package. All are RoHS compliant, says the company.
