Slim portable instrument enclosures for tablet style electronics

New from OKW, the Carrytec M Slim series enclosure is aimed at tablets and instruments which have more modest space requirements but still require the tough protection this range offers. The enclosures are designed for portable and desktop electronics medical and wellness applications (features include Torx T10 screws as standard), communications, data recording, plant and machine construction, agriculture and forest management. The units can be fitted to suspension arms. An integrated handle makes it tougher than traditional enclosures with separate handles. A soft-grip TPE insert also means that it is more comfortable to carry. Other features include a large recessed top for membrane keypads plus screw pillars for PCBs in both the base and top section. Interfaces can be installed at the rear for easy cable management. The standard size is 270mm x 247mm x 42mm. Other sizes are available: L (348mm x 303mm x 117mm), M (270mm x 247mm x 91mm) and S (222mm x 205mm x 80mm). All are available in ABS (UL 94 HB) for indoor applications and robust ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) for outdoor work. (IP 54 protection is optional). Standard colours are Off-white (RAL 9002) for the ABS version and Lava Grey for ASA+PC-FR. Custom colours are also available. Accessories include an IP54 seal, holding clamps (ideal for hospital bedrails) self-tapping screws and a Torx T10 screwdriver. A range of accessories and custom options is also offered.
