GP module includes all hardware and software needed to evaluate the C5517 DSP

The Texas Instruments (TI) TMDSEVM5517 is a general-purpose evaluation module which includes all the hardware and software needed to evaluate the C5517 DSP, a highly-integrated device in a simple package designed to reduce cost and development time. The solution provides nearly double the performance of previous generation of ultra-low power DSP devices while delivering power optimization to support longer battery life. This evaluation module allows quick and easy evaluation of the advanced capabilities of the C5517 DSP. The kit has an on-board (XDS100) emulator for full course-level debug capability and supports Code Composer Studio (CCStudio) Integrated Development Environment (IDE) version 5.x and eXpressDSP software which includes the DSP/BIOS kernel.
