Available now from Mouser stock, Intersil's ISL8272M 50A digital DC-DC PMBus power module integrates a digital PWM controller, dual-phase power MOSFETs, inductors, and passive components. The ISL8272M does not require airflow or a heatsink, and can work in a current-sharing configuration with up to 4 modules to provide up to 200A of continuous current. The ISL8272M operates with the ChargeMode control architecture, which responds to a transient load within a single switching cycle. The ISL8272M is housed in a compact low profile HDA package, suitable for automated assembly equipment. Typical applications include servers, telecom, storage, Datacom, industrial / ATE and networking equipment, and general-purpose power for ASIC, FPGA, DSP and memory systems.
