Lattice evaluation board eases development of ECP5 FPGA systems

11-05-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Design & Manufacture

Available now from Mouser, Lattice ECP5 Versa evaluation board allows designers to investigate and experiment with the features of the ECP5 field-programmable gate array (FPGA). The features of the board can assist engineers with rapid prototyping and testing of their specific designs. It is part of the ECP5 Versa Development Kit (LFE5-85E-PB-EVN). Developed with the half-length PCI Express form-factor, LFE5UM-45F-VERSA-EVN allows demonstration of PCI Express x1 interconnection and features the USB-B connection for UART and device programming. The kit provides two RJ45 that interfaces to 10/100/1000 Ethernet to RGMII, 128M Serial SPI Flash, 1GB DDR3 memory components (64Mbx16), expansion connections and headers for flexibility of user prototype expansion. It also includes switches, LEDs and displays for demo purposes, on-board reference clock sources, easy power measurements, and Lattice Diamond Programmer configuration support, says the company.
