Mouser is now stocking Coilcraft’s MLC75xx series shielded power inductors
which feature soft saturation characteristics, making them ideal for voltage
regulator module (VRM) and voltage regulator down (VRD) designs and other
applications with occasional over-current requirements such as power
supplies and microprocessor power.
With an exceptionally low DC resistance of only 1.2mohm, the
highly-efficient inductors also have an excellent current handling of up to
59A. Devices measure just 7mm x 7.5mm, with a profile of 4.2mm. Seven
inductance values are offered, ranging from 0.10 to 2.17µH. The
RoHS-compliant, halogen-free MLC75xx inductors employ tin-silver (96.5/3.5)
over copper terminations and can withstand a maximum reflow temperature of
260C. Coilcraft uses proprietary materials and construction techniques to
avoid thermal aging issues associated with competing iron-powder-core
inductors.
