Rogowski coil transformers offer safe alternative to split-core current types

Offering safe alternatives to split-core current transformers, Phoenix Contact Rogowski Coil PACT RCP transformers are now available from Mouser stock. Because of the loop design, the Rogowski coil can be separated easily for quick installation on an existing busbar or wire. The Rogowski principle eliminates the dangerous open-circuit voltages inherent to split-core CTs and the need for CT shorting blocks. Rogowski kit measures alternating currents in eight ranges, from 0-100A to 0-4000A. There are two available transducers that provide users with a choice of a 0-1A CT output or a standard 0-10V / 4-20mA analog output.
