Now stocked by Digi-Key, Hirose's BM24 series board to FPC connectors are
hybrid types with both signal and power pins. They are compact with a low
profile and are used to connect a printed circuit board with a flex-printed
circuit. In conventional connectors power is supplied through multiple
signal pins; by amalgamating these power lines into two pins, Hirose has
reduced the mounting space and the amount of materials (metals, resins, and
boards) that need to be used.
