Available now from Digi-Key, Epson's VG-4513 is a novel device in that it achieves industry-leading phase noise in a very small package and has exceptional vibration sensitivity, says the company. Using a high-frequency fundamental (HFF) crystal, the VG-4513 achieves phase noise of -105dBc/Hz at 122.88MHz and 100Hz offset. The device is recommended by many IC vendors for performance-sensitive RF applications such as base stations and microwave radios. The VG-4513 operates from a 3.3V supply, is available with absolute pull range of > ±30, ±50, and ±100ppm, and operates over a temperature range of -40C to +85C. The VG-4513 is in two package sizes. The CA package is 7mm x 5mm x 1.6mm and the CB package measures 5mm x 3.2mm x 1.3mm.
