Available now from Mouser, Osram SFH471xAS IR OSLON Black Series LEDs are
small infrared LEDs offering more than 1W of optical power.
The IR OSLON Black come in a small package with an integrated lens that
allows superior compact arrangements of very high power density. They are
seen as ideal for applications like CCTV, machine vision, gesture
recognition or infrared illumination for cameras.
The device use double-stack emitters and have a low thermal resistance of
9kw max. They have a centroid wavelength of 850nm and a typical optical
power that reaches 1270mW and 300mW/sr at 1A. They feature adapted
out-coupling lenses of +/-45 degrees or +/-75 degrees with half angle
emissions and deliver 15 percent more output power than components without a
lens. A 50,000-hour LED lifetime is easily obtainable, even at high drive
currents, says the company.
