Precision connector system features novel modular concept

TE Connectivity's AMPMODU interconnection system is now available from Digi-Key. The system features a novel modular concept, utilizing precision-formed receptacle contacts and mating posts. Mating of the post and receptacle contacts is very tolerant - made possible by a post with a burr-free lead-in and a receptacle contact featuring double cantilever beams and anti-overstress stops. The AMPMODU system receptacle contacts and posts fall into three general classifications - board-mounted posts and receptacle assemblies, post headers and wire-applied contact housings for crimp snap-in pin and receptacle contacts.
