Mouser is now stocking the new VLD series LEDs from Vishay. The new red, amber and yellow LEDs feature ultra-bright aluminum indium gallium phosphide (AllnGaP)-on-silicon chip technology to deliver industry-leading brightness with luminous intensity up to 35,500 mcd. The LEDs are designed in compact, untinted surface-mount packages with dome lenses. At just 2.3mm × 2.3mm × 2.8mm and available in gullwing or reverse gullwing designs, the LEDs offer high luminous flux and incorporate larger chip sizes to withstand drive currents up to 70mA. The devices offer a narrow ±11 degree angle of half intensity and withstand electrostatic discharge (ESD) voltages up to 2kV. Vishay VLD series LEDs are suitable for a variety of applications, including traffic signal lighting, interior and exterior lighting, backlighting for audio/video equipment, appliances, and industrial equipment.
