White LEDs can produce up to 3,000 lumens

Luminus Devices' CBT-90-W white LEDs are now available from Digi-Key. They are capable of producing up to 3,000 lumens at the top end input current. They use monolithic chip technology which enables large area LED chips with uniform brightness over the entire LED chip surface. The optical power and brightness produced enable solutions which replace arc and halogen lamps where arrays of traditional high-power LEDs cannot. The CBT-90-W white LEDs feature a thermal resistance from junction to case of 0.8C/W, allowing the LEDs to be driven at higher current densities while maintaining a low junction temperature, resulting in brighter solutions and longer lifetimes.
