New DC-DC converters for tough operational environments

The new TEQ 100WIR Series of high-performance 100W DC-DC converters from Powersolve is designed specifically to withstand shock, vibration and extremes of temperature. This makes them ideal for industrial environments while approval to EN50155 also qualifies the TEQ 100WIR Series for railway applications. Output voltages range from 12VDC to 48VDC. Featuring an ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage range and up to 90% efficiency, all 12 TEQ 100WIR units come in a rugged, sealed, heatsink-style metal case which can be chassis mounted. They will operate at temperatures up to +85C with no derating and up to +95C with power derating. The DC/DC converters are manufactured by TRACO, incorporate an EN 55022, class A compliant input filter as well as output voltage trimming, remote on/off and under voltage lock-out. According to Powersolve, the very wide input voltage range and reverse input voltage protection make the converters a workable solution for battery-operated systems.
