The system is capable of handling transmission speeds of up to 6GHz, making it suitable for a wide range of miniature devices that incorporate wireless communications modules, wireless LAN, GPS and Bluetooth. The plug and receptacle are easy to mate, with a tactile click to indicate a full and complete electrical and mechanical connection. An extraction tool is also available for safe and simple disconnection of connectors. Ultra fine fluorinated resin insulated cable guarantees and stable and secure connection. Cable diameters are available in single or double-ended cable lengths. Outer conductors of the commodity plug cable are tin rather than silver plated to provide a cost effective connectivity solution without compromising performance levels or functionality. Also, a low cost surface mount receptacle, part number U.FL-R-SMT-1 is available to mate with all plug cable assemblies, says the company.
