New 10A board-mount EMC filter offers exceptional differential-mode performance

03-12-2015 | TDK Lambda | Power

TDK-Lambda has introduced the iDQ Series of 10A, 48VDC nominal EMC filter modules. With high on-board capacitance, the filters target DC-DC converters, minimising the need for external components and thus saving on printed circuit board area.

Rated for a maximum voltage of 75VDC, the iDQ has a differential mode attenuation of 63dB at 300kHz measured with a 50ohm source and load impedance. The compact filter measures just 50mm in length, 15mm in width, with a height of 10.8mm. The iDQ will operate without forced air cooling in ambient temperatures of -40C to +85C.

Utilising TDK component technology, system level compliance to FCC and CISPR is made easier. A pin is provided for the addition of extra capacitance to further enhance common mode performance. The iDQ has 1500VDC isolation from ground; enabling operation in systems where the ground is connected to either the positive or negative input, says the company.
