New 400W AC/DC power supplies offer medical and ITE approvals

05-01-2016 | Powersolve | Power

Powersolve has announced a new series of AC/DC power supplies designed to provide up to 400W from a compact footprint and 1U height. According to Powersolve, the JB400/JB400D series features a power density of up to 6.25W/in³ which makes these new power sources ideal for a wide variety ofapplications requiring high power levels but where space is at a premium.

Capable of operating from a 90-264VAC input voltage range with power factor correction to EN61000-3-2 class D, models in the JB400 Series provide single output voltages from 2 to 58VDC while models in the JB400D dual output series have a main 3.3V or 5V rail with auxiliary +12 or +24V outputs. Peak power can be up to 700W with 500µs duty cycle.

The JB400/JB400D Series is available in a U channel format or enclosed with an integral fan. The new units offer protection against over-power, over-voltage, over-temperature and short circuit while remote on/off, remote sense and power good signals ease system integration. Current monitoring and remote voltage adjustment are other key features.

The power supplies are approved to UL and TUV standards and meet the emissions requirements of FCC Part 15, CISPR 22 class B and EN55022 B.
