Automotive-grade polymer electrolytics deliver stability and endurance

Kemet's high-performance automotive-grade polymer electrolytic capacitors are now available from TTI Europe. The KO-CAP T591 Series delivers stability and endurance under harsh humidity and temperature conditions. Newcomers in the range include options up to 50V for both 12V and 24V power rails. The KO-CAP combines the low ESR of multilayer ceramic, the high capacitance of aluminium electrolytic and the volumetric efficiency of tantalum into a single surface-mount package. Unlike liquid electrolyte based capacitors, KO-CAP has a very long operational life and high ripple current capabilities. Special enhancements to the design and material were introduced to deliver 1,000 hours under 85C / 85% RH/VR and to fully comply with AEC-Q200 Qualification Testing. The T598 is manufactured in a ISO TS 16949 certified plant and is subjected to PPAP/PSW and change control.
