New film capacitors for EMI suppression in X1 circuits

Designed for an extended operating voltage of up to 530VAC, TDK's new series of EPCOS X1 capacitors are now available from TTI Europe. The versatile B32911 through to B32918 series cover a broad capacitance range from 1nF to 5.6µF. The new parts are ideal for EMI suppression in X1 circuits (L-N), such as power supplies of all kinds as well as frequency converters, says the company. Featuring a compact design, the dimensions of the X1 series film capacitors range from 4mm x 9mm x 13mm up to 35mm x 50mm x 57.5mm, depending on the capacitance. Lead spacings vary between 10mm and 52.5mm. Those with capacitance values of 4.7µF and 5.6µF are equipped with 4 pins for improved mechanical stability on the PCB. The components are designed for an operating temperature range from -40C up to +110C and feature high rated voltages and self-healing properties. The series is certified according to ENEC, UL and CSA.
