Vishay's DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 analog switches are now available from
Digi-Key. They are 200ohm, precision monolithic quad, single-pole
single-throw (SPST) devices in the ultra-compact, WCSP, 4 bump by 4 bump
array package.
The three smallest devices in the industry save space in wearable
electronics, sensors, consumer, and communication devices while offering
high precision characterized by low parasitic capacitance, charge injection,
and leakage current, says the company.
Measuring just 1.4mm x 1.4mm with a 0.35mm pitch and top-side lamination for
increased ruggedness, the switches are 50 percent smaller than the closest
competing device and 95 percent smaller than switches in the standard QFN16
package. Combining their compact size with typical power consumption of less
than 0.01µW to prolong battery life, the DG2501, DG2502, and DG2503 are
ideal for analog front-end signal switching, programmable gain control,
sample and hold circuits, and multiple analog input multiplexing in smart
watches, medical patches, fitness monitors, sensors, and other such products
that make up the Internet of Things (IoT).
