Robust auto-grade 1.2mm terminals minimise connector interface

As vehicle makers face ever tighter space requirements for safety-restraint and harness applications, Molex’s 1.2mm MXP120 sealed connector system provides a compact, high-power solution that replaces existing 1.5mm system while still meeting USCAR specifications. Available now from Farnell element14, they use 1.2mm terminals which minimise the connector interface and connector package size, while offering more current-carrying capacity and robustness than can be achieved with 0.64mm terminal systems. The connectors have been qualified as per T3-V2-S2 performance level (temperatures up to 125C, with on-engine vibration up to 200m/s²) and are aimed at in-vehicle safety system applications.
