Single-output power supplies provide up to 500W with active PFC

Powersolve has introduced the PP150 - PP500 Series of AC/DC power supplies designed to provide high power from a low-profile U channel, open frame package. The single output power sources provide voltages from 12 to 48VDC from a universal AC input with active PFC. According to Powersolve, the 19 model PP150 - PP500 Series is designed to provide users with an efficient and reliable power source that can operate between a wide temperature range of -20C to +70C. Most units are designed for convection cooled applications while a fan is required for all models 500W. Remote On/Off control is incorporated into the higher power PP350 and PP500 power models while every unit has output short-circuit protection as well as protection against over-voltage, over-load and over-temperature, says the company.
