Metal-composite power inductors can be designed into many circuits

15-02-2016 | TTI Europe | Passives

Automotive design requirements are becoming increasingly demanding - ECU designs have to fulfil more functionality in ever-smaller packages while high power, high current, high efficiency and low power consumption are required. To meet the market demand, Panasonic has developed metal-composite power inductors which are now available from TTI Europe. Due to its metal-composite structure, the power inductor can be designed in many circuit application like DC-DC converter and filter achieving high current characteristics, Low power consumption, high vibration capability and importantly miniaturization. Typical applications include interior (infotainment system, etc.) and engine systems (powertrains, etc.) where the latest high heat-and vibration-resistance are characteristics are required, says the company.
