Ultra low-jitter differential oscillators integrated EEPROMs

18-03-2016 | Farnell element14 | Passives

Farnell element14 has announced availability of the Texas Instruments (TI) ultra low-jitter LMK61xx oscillator family which offers 100fs rms jitter performance (12K-20MHz), meeting the jitter requirements of the newest standards to offer 'future-proof' design with a wide margin. Integrated multi write EEPROM memory enables customised start-up frequency, while a pin strap device enables AVL consolidation. Fine and coarse frequency margining enables quick and easy in-system validation with same hardware design for both evaluation and production. The LMK61xx eliminates the problem of non-standard frequencies proving difficult to source by using one common XTAL + PLL architecture to provide supply chain robustness and rapid turn-around for samples and production orders. Integrated LDOs provide robust supply noise immunity. Typical applications include switches, routers, telecom/datacom line cards, servers, storage/SAN, medical imaging and test and measurement.
