Compact GNSS module with integrated patch antenna

The Quectel GPS L86, available through RS Components, is a compact GNSS Module with an integrated patch antenna. The high performance MTK positioning engine brings a high level of sensitivity, accuracy, and TTFF (Time To First Fix) with the lowest power consumption in a small-footprint lead-free package. With 66 search channels, 22 tracking channels, L86 can acquire and track satellites in the shortest time even at indoor low signal level. It features a multi-GNSS engine for GPS, GLONASS, and QZSS, with embedded patch antenna (18.4mm x 18.4mm x 4mm). It is an extremely compact size of only 16mm x 16mm x 6.45mm. It has an automatic antenna switching function, supports short circuit protection and antenna detection with built-in LNA for better sensitivity.
