Broad range of 10Gb/s USB-3.1 connectors, jacks and cables

Würth Elektronik now offers a broad range of connectors, jacks, and cables for the new USB-3.1 standard - offering 10Gb/s performance as opposed to 5Gb/s and a current supply of up to 20V. The USB 3.1 is a long-awaited technological leap forward that will open up whole new areas of applications. Under the designation WR-COM USB 3.1 Superspeed+ the company offers a type-A jack with power delivery (maximum 5 A/20 VDC) designed for at least 5,000 plugging cycles as well as type-C plugs and jacks (3A / 5VDC) for at least 10,000 plugging cycles. The jacks are available for 1mm and 1.6mm circuit boards, the plugs for 0.8mm circuit boards, says the company.
