Optocoupler-less isolated flyback converters for industrial equipment needing to obtain a stable output voltage

11-05-2016 | Digikey | Power

ROHM Semiconductor's BD7F100, available now from Digi-Key, is an optocoupler-less isolated flyback converter. An optocoupler, or the tertiary winding feedback circuit, which was needed to obtain a stable output voltage, isolated by a transformer in the conventional application, becomes unnecessary. This enables the number of parts required to be dramatically reduced, producing a small-size and high-reliability application-isolated type power supply. It uses original adapted-type ON-time control technology to realise high-speed load response, making external phase compensation parts unnecessary. This makes a highly efficient, isolated type power supply application that can be easy to produce.
