Network processor supports multiple roles simultaneously

STMicroelectronics' BlueNRG-MSCP, available from Digi-Key, is a very low power BLE single-mode network processor, compliant with Bluetooth specification v4.1. The device supports multiple roles simultaneously and can act at the same time as Bluetooth Smart sensor and hub devices. It features significantly extended battery life, with excellent coexistence performance in crowded 2.4 GHz bandwidth. The single firmware supports master and slave roles. It has easy firmware upgrades in the field to maintain compliance with future releases of the Bluetooth specification. Typical applications are in watches, fitness, wellness and sports, consumer medical, security/proximity, remote control, home and industrial automation, assisted living, mobile phone peripherals and PC peripherals.
