Stocked by Farnell element14, the Hellermann Tyton detectable metal content cable ties are chemical-resistant metal content tie specifically designed for use in the food processing and pharmaceutical processing industries. They are suitable for electrical cabling both on-plant and in areas adjacent to the manufacturing process.
All cables are subject to a unique manufacturing process that enables even small cut-off sections of the tie to be identified by standard metal-detection equipment. Their distinctive blue colouring also makes for easy visual detection.
The ties can be employed as part of the hazardous analysis of critical control point (HACCP), a proactive process control system that reduces risk of contamination and ensures the quality of various foods.
