The new AFL3-W15B-H81 from BVM brings high-end computing power and speed to a 15.6 inch wide-screen IP64 sealed PanelPC that is optimised for process and machine control on the factory floor. Standard panel, wall, rack, stand and arm VESA mounting options enable the unit to be positioned wherever required. The 15.6 inch touchscreens feature either 5-wire resistive control with a RS-232 interface, or, to support multi-touch operation, projected capacitance with an internal USB interface. Running under the Intel H81 chipset, user-selectable processors range from a Pentium G3320TE dual core processor running at 2.3GHz to a 2.7GHz Core i5-4570TE dual core processor; up to 16GB of 1333MHz SDRAM is available. All processors are rated at 35W TDP and have intelligent thermal management. Options include a 2 megapixel camera with low light function, digital microphone and an amplifier and integrated speakers are standard. Connectivity is selectable from 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0 communication capabilities are also provided. One mSATA Slot and a 2.5 inch HDD bay are available for storage. I/O includes four USB2.0 and two USB3.0 ports, a RS232 and a RS232/422/485 serial ports, an audio line-out port and a HDMI port. The units operate from 9 - 30V wide range DC power and the AT or ATX power mode is switch selectable, says the company.
